Sergio Olmos is a statistician focusing on research questions related to the urban environment and health. At ISGlobal, he is working on the EXPANSE project studying the impact of the urban exposome on cardio-metabolic and pulmonary diseases.

He earned a B.A. in Mathematics (2009) from Temple University, a B.Sc. in Economics and Mathematical Sciences (2016) from The Open University, and then a Master's degree in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics (2018) from Universitat de Barcelona/UOC.

Sergio has experience in consulting for researchers, R&D institutions and companies at Biostatech. He is also a data science consultant for ALBA Berlin working on sports science research. Moreover, he is an R developer currently building several open-source packages and Shiny apps for analyzing basketball generated data.

From 2009 to 2020, he was a professional basketball player for several teams in Spain.
