In 2014, Global Justice Now estimated that out of the 100 top world economies, 64 were companies. Two years later, the weight of the corporations had risen to 69%, according to new estimations by the NGO.

This fact is key in understanding why a global alliance between the private and public sectors is required to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.  To solve the main challenges that our planet faces, we need to work hand-in-hand.

The private sector has a solid experience in developing innovative solutions, and the required R+D+i investments are considerable. This is why governments and companies, together with civil society, must work together to ensure that the global transformations leave no one behind and that progress made benefits the entire population while protecting our planet.
