Silvia Álvarez is a bachelor nurse, working with Medicines Sans Frontiers (MSF) since 2005. She has been working in emergency contexts, programs and positions from field nurse to Health Advisor Support in Headquarters. She has a broad background in emergencies therefore she has been confronted with all types of emergencies. She has also experience in assessments and explos, that enhanced an analytical thinking and the development of a strategic vision adapted to the context and the needs.
In several occasions she has been working as a facilitator in different MSF trainings.
Since 2018, she works in the Medical Department of MSF Spain as a Medical Learning Referent, covering all aspects related to “Learning and Knowledge Management” and coordinates the module of Response to Humanitarian Crisis of the Master of Global health organized by ISGLOBAL and the University of Barcelona.
