The Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB), where some of ISGlobal's research takes place, is opening its doors on the occasion of #OpenPRBB. The open day aims to promote PRBB's facilities, the various research centers, its activities, and its community.

Throughout the morning of Saturday 7 October, there will be talks, laboratory visits, experiments, tours of the building and activities for all audiences. 

To participate in the guided tours of the building, it is necessary to register in advance on the website.

How we analyse medical images
With Ramón Mateo

In this workshop we will explain how to use images to detect problems in Achilles tendons and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), as well as the problems that specialists face when dealing with medical images. This activity will take place between 10:00 AM and 2:30 PM and does not require prior registration.

BISC Project 
With Alvaro Falcon, Maria Mata and Esmée Essers

They will talk about the activities carried out within the BiSC project, in particular the collection of samples and the organisation of a cohort study.

Lecture: "Food as co-director of our epigenetics".

The food choices we make every day are like directors in our gene expression and also in our health. We have a fascinating opportunity to improve our well-being through our diet.

Fort Pius High School presents work on air pollution
Students of the Fort Pius School will present the results of their research on air pollution. This project was carried out in collaboration with Fab Lab and with the advice of ISGlobal. This activity will take place between 10h and 13h.
