Dr. Leire Balerdi is a medical doctor, specialized in Internal Medicine. Since August 2020 is working as a physician and medical researcher in the International Health Service, with special focus on imported fever and malaria. She is also currently doing the PhD with the University of Barcelona on imported malaria management and co-coordinates a health cooperation programme in Sierra Leone.
