A pathogenic journey: How are diseases transmitted?

To win a game, you need to understand the opponent, both in chess and in the field of health. Thus, knowing what kind of pathogens cause diseases, which are their main characteristics and how they infect the human body will be useful to prevent infections or to minimize its risk. With this aim, ISGlobal and the "la Caixa" Foundation present the interactive educational resource A pathogenic journey: How are diseases transmitted?.

The resource describes the four pathogenic groups (bacteria, viruses, protozoa and fungi) and their main transmission routes, gives advice on how to prevent the infection and offers students the opportunity to test the knowledge acquired with a short questionnaire.
