How a warmer planet will affect human health and what can we do to mitigate impacts of climate change? These are some of the questions Maria Neira, director of the Public Health and the Environment Department at the World Health Organization (WHO), responded to ISGlobal. She acknowledges that the strategies to tackle climate change will have a benefit on our health, and that citizens as well as politicians must be involved, for instance encouraging and developing healthier urban and transport plans.
