Clara Carreras-Abad is a paediatrician with an interest in infectious diseases and global health. She completed her bachelor of medicine at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona followed by a paediatric residency and a master's in international health at the same institution. She has clinical experience in low and middle-income countries, mainly in Latin America and is currently a clinical research fellow at the Infection and Immunity Institute, St George's University of London. She works on invasive group B streptococcus infection with Kirsty Le Doare and Paul Heath.
