1ª convocatoria: 2a Conferencia de Investigadores Jóvenes en Epidemiología Ambiental de la ISEE Europe

ISEE-Europe welcomes you to the Early Career Researchers Conference on Environmental Epidemiology organized by the Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences, Utrecht University. The conference follows the successful inaugural conference last year in Barcelona. The conference will cover all areas of research in environmental epidemiology. The motto of the conference is ‘Connect to Shape the Future’ and as such we encourage active discussions through formal presentations, workshops, and discussion sessions. The conference will be held in Utrecht, the Netherlands, on the 2nd and 3rd of November 2015. The day before, the 1st of November, we will organize several workshops on diverse topics such as multiple pollutant modelling, land-use regression modelling, and causal inference.

The conference has a particular focus on scientists in the early stages of their careers; including PhD candidates, Postdocs, and Assistant Professors. The focus on early career scientists is threefold: (i) we want to foster a strong cohort of new environmental epidemiology researchers; (ii) we want to ensure that early career scientists get the opportunity to connect and present their work to a larger scientific audience; and (iii) to facilitate attendance of early career scientists, who often have only limited travel funds, at conferences. ISEE-Europe Young 2015 is therefore organized as a low budget conference.

The conference will be led by ISEE-Europe together with help of the local organizing committee at Utrecht University, The Netherlands. An international scientific committee comprised of early career researchers will advise on the scientific aspects of the conference.

May 1^st -  Conference and workshop registrations opens, early bird fees apply

June 1^st - Submission deadline for Scientific Abstracts (oral and poster presentations)

July 15^th -  Decision of acceptance of Scientific Abstracts

September 1^st - Late fee for conference registration

October 15^th - Registration deadline for Workshops and Conference

November 1^st  - Pre-conference workshops

November 2^nd - Conference opens

November 3^rd - Conference closes

The costs for the conference will be 95 euros (early-bird registration, or 110 euros for late registration). Participation in workshops will be 10 euros.  Participants are strongly encouraged to become a member of ISEE. No travel grants are available for participants.

Venue: The venue is the Educatorium building at the Utrecht Science Park. Utrecht Science Park can be easily reached from Utrecht and other cities in the Netherlands.
