The project aims to contribute to the systemic transformation of the territory through transformative research and innovation in key areas in which ISGlobal has expertise:

• Planetary health
• Urban health
• Preparedness, response and resilience to health emergencies, including the effects of climate change.

Particular importance is given to social participation, especially among young people, through citizen science and co-creation methodologies to bring science closer to society and generate collaborative solutions.

Two complementary and interconnected actions are being developed:

1. Transformative research and innovation actions by the scientific community. This action aims to scale up and enrich ISGlobal’s social translation activities, promoting innovative approaches and methodologies such as transformative innovation, co-creation and citizen science, in close alignment with the priority challenges of RIS3CAT 2030.
2. Creation and deployment of a coordination and support unit for transformative innovation (LIST). This action involves the creation of the Transformative Social Innovation Laboratory (LIST-ISGlobal), a permanent structure that will coordinate, promote and facilitate the participation of ISGlobal research groups in transformative innovation initiatives throughout Catalonia.
