Niklas Andersson obtained an MSc in Statistics and Data Analysis from Linköping University in 2010. He has worked as a statistician for Karolinska Institutet for 14 years, primarily on the BAMSE project. This is a population-based birth cohort with over 30 years of follow-up time. In 2025, Niklas joined ISGlobal to continue his work there.

His responsibilities span data management and curation, data extraction, statistical methodology and original research. He has mainly worked with STATA, but is increasingly interested in R.
