Around 40 cartoonists from Spain and Latin America have created an original drawing on a post-it note to raise awareness of a reality affecting more than 1.5 billion people worldwide: neglected diseases, or NTDs.

Chagas disease, noma, dengue and leishmaniasis are among these diseases, which mainly affect communities with fewer resources and, despite their enormous impact, rarely make headlines or receive the attention they deserve.

A post-it to remember what the world forgets

Inspired by the legacy of the cartoonist Antonio Fraguas “Forges” and his iconic “No te olvides…”, this campaign aims to remind us that no one should be invisible when it comes to health.

Art and science come together to raise awareness of neglected diseases and support ISGlobal’s research in this field through the exhibition and auction of the original artworks, the sale of the book and donations.

How to participate

Note-Olvides: Exhibition in Madrid and Barcelona

Exhibition and auction
A selection of the original artworks will be displayed in Madrid (Casa del Libro - Gran Vía, 12–31 March) and Barcelona (Fujifilm House of Photography, 7–11 April). The original artworks will be auctioned on 11 April through Maza.art.

Note-Olvides: Charity book

Charity book
The book “Graphic Humour Against Forgetting”, published by Lunwerg Editores (Grupo Planeta), brings together the illustrations created for the campaign. Leonardo Padura and El Gran Wyoming wrote the foreword and epilogue respectively.

Note-Olvides: Support research

Note-Olvides: Share the campaign

Make the invisible visible
If you share the content of the #NoteOlvides campaign on your social media, you will help give greater visibility to neglected diseases.

Together for better global health

All proceeds from the book sales, the auction and donations will go directly to support ISGlobal’s research on malaria and neglected parasitic diseases.

Every gesture counts to drive research forward and bring solutions closer to millions of people.
