Lisa Rice brings over 20 years of clinical, operational and public health experience to her current role as project manager in the Public Health Liver Group. A highly experienced registered nurse from the UK, with an MBA and postgraduate diplomas in Public Health and Epidemiology. she currently oversees the LIVERAIM EU project, the Global Think-Tank on Steatotic Liver Disease, and several other initiatives focused on chronic liver disease, with a strong focus on stakeholder management and facilitation of effective and collaborative communities of practice. 

Lisa brings extensive knowledge and cross-system expertise in healthcare delivery and policy. Her key areas of interest include liver disease, patient and stakeholder engagement, prevention of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and the advancement of health and digital literacy.

In recent years, her focus has shifted to digital health innovation, contributing to telemedicine start-ups and working with the global non-profit HIMSS, where she curated the programme for one of Europe’s largest digital health innovation conferences, founding an active digital nurse community as well as initiating a startup pitchfest and a global digital health patient community.  

With her nursing and humanitarian background, Lisa is motivated by a strong belief in the power of multidisciplinary care, the importance of nurses in care pathways, and collaboration amongst stakeholders leading to better outcomes for health.
