Anna Dimitrova

Anna Dimitrova is a postdoctoral researcher at ISGlobal, where she works in Anna Roca’s group. Anna holds a PhD in Economics and Social Sciences from the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), where she also earned an MSc in Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy. Additionally, she holds an MA in Economics from the University of Glasgow. 

Anna’s research focuses on the impacts of environmental change on human health and well-being, with a particular focus on maternal and child health in low- and middle-income countries. Anna studies a wide range of issues related to public health, including child nutrition, infectious diseases, and reproductive health. A core aim of her research is to deepen our understanding of the social determinants of vulnerability to the impacts of climate change and to identify factors that enhance adaptive capacity. Before joining ISGlobal, Anna contributed to research projects at the Climate Change Epidemiology Lab at UCSD, the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, and the Wittgenstein Centre for Demography and Global Human Capital.
