Lingering COVID-19 Vaccine Hesitancy in 2023

Impacts on ongoing pandemic responses and routine immunization

This virtual satellite session will present new, topline results of a forthcoming global survey on COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy and its impacts on ongoing pandemic response and routine immunization. Our panelists will assess the current status of these issues globally. We will identify strategies and interventions to improve vaccine acceptance and uptake, of both COVID vaccines and routine pediatric and adult immunization programs.

 

The session will include separate discussions of four interrelated aspects of the impact of COVID-19 related vaccine hesitancy on overall public health and well-being:

  • Building Trust in Vaccination and Health Authorities
  • Impact of COVID-19 on Routine Immunization
  • Navigating the Infodemic and Health Misinformation
  • Preparing the Public for Future Pandemic Threats
