ISGlobal and Fundació Sanitària Mollet, as coordinators of the European Secretariat of the European Planetary Health Alliance, relaunch this monthly scientific webinar series.

The first session of this new stage will feature Samuel S. Myers, Professor at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Founding Director of the Johns Hopkins Institute for Planetary Health and the Planetary Health Alliance.

In this lecture, Prof. Myers will explore how destabilization of Earth’s natural systems —including climate change, biodiversity loss, ocean warming and rising atmospheric CO₂— is emerging as a defining global health challenge. Drawing on his recent publication connecting planetary boundaries and planetary health, he will examine why a resilient and stable Earth system is crucial for protecting human wellbeing.
