Pre-enrolment for the Master of Global Health and Master of Clinical Research-International Health Track Now Open

The Masters programmes are scheduled to start in October 2014

Pre-enrolment is now open for the ISGlobal-University of Barcelona Master of Global Health and Master of Clinical Research programmes. The first of the three modules in the Master of Global Health may also be taken independently as a postgraduate Diploma of Global Health Fundamentals. Applications for pre-enrolment in this diploma course are also being accepted.

Interested candidates can pre-enrol by sending an email to formacion@isglobal.org with the subject line "Pre-enrolment [Master or Diploma] of Global Health" or "Pre-enrolment Master of Clinical Research: International Health Track" followed by the full name of the applicant. This should be accompanied by the following documentation:  

· A detailed CV

· A letter of motivation

· Two letters of recommendation (professional or academic)

All three courses are presential and take place at the Faculty of Medicine in the University of Barcelona. The Masters courses are full time and run from October to June. The Diploma course requires full-time attendance from October 2014 to February 2015.

The Master of Global Health is designed for individuals seeking to develop a career in health from a global and transdisciplinary perspective. The course, which equates to 60 ECTS and takes one academic year to complete, is the result of a collaboration between ISGlobal, the University of Barcelona, and institutions such as Médicins Sans Frontières and Oxfam Intermón. The Diploma of Global Health Fundamentals corresponds to 30 ECTS and is accredited by the European Network for Education in International Health, tropED. Both programmes are directed by Dr Núria Casamitjana and Dr Pedro Alonso. 

The Master of Clinical Research: International Health Track  is intended for students who have completed a degree in health sciences or biomedicine and want to progress to a doctorate and seek a research career in this field. Prospective students should have an open mind and be willing to work in diverse geographical areas and a broad range of social, cultural, political and economic settings. Dr Nuria Casamitjana is the coordinator of the International Health track in the Master of Clinical  Research.
