One Health, a Transversal and Equitable Vision of Health

The event "One Health, a Transversal and Equitable Vision of Health" aims to foster critical dialogue among professionals from diverse disciplines working under the One Health framework. Co-organised by Women in Global Health Spain and ISGlobal, it will take place on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 16:00 to 18:00 at the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Barcelona. A networking cocktail will follow from 18:00 to 19:00.

This in-person event is addressed to professionals, students, researchers, and decision-makers interested in the intersections between public health, One Health governance, global health, and planetary health. With the 2030 Agenda as a backdrop, the event will highlight current challenges and progress through four core themes: antimicrobial resistance, the impact of climate change, urban health, and emerging and re-emerging diseases.

The programme will include a welcome by institutional representatives, a keynote lecture, and a roundtable titled "One Health: A Transversal Vision of Health", featuring voices from medicine, veterinary science, environmental health, and civil society. The session will conclude with a call to action to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration and promote shared responsibility across sectors.

The event aims to build bridges between disciplines, advance health equity, and inspire collective action to tackle today’s most pressing global health challenges from a One Health perspective.
