The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level. Research is organized in five programs: Climate, Air Pollution, Nature and Urban Health; Environment and Health over the Lifecourse; Global Viral and Bacterial Infections; Malaria and Neglected Parasitic Diseases and Maternal Child and Reproductive Health. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
ISGlobal is seeking an HR Mobility & Onbording Officer that will ensure the proper management of the foreign affairs issues (work permits) and will design and implement the best practices in the onboarding of new staff.
This contract is in the framework of GPE2024-001424-T, funded by MCIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE /QUALIFICATIONS
- University Degree (labour relations, social sciences or similar)
- Master Degree in Human Resources o postgraduate degree will be a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in an international organization
- Candidates who have experience in a consulting (relocation) Company will be also considered
- Experience in an international research center will be valued
- Experience in a role that had to be in contact with employees or clients
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Foreign affairs management:
- Manage the work permits for new staff and their family
- Manage renewals of work permits
- Analyse data and implement improvements in the current procedures
- Monthly reporting of this area.
Onbording:
- Maintain the information for the induction processes
- Introduce through presentations ISGlobal to new staff
- Support newcomers, both documentary and on site, in key aspects when arriving in Barcelona: Permits, Housing, Taxes, Banks, schools, etc.
- Manage and support social activities for newcomers and current ISGlobal staff, within the HR team.
- Maintain the database and report KPI’s of this area Personnel administration: support in the preparation of new contracts and explain contracts and ISGlobal procedures to new employees

CONDITIONS
- Duration : Permanent contract bound to duration of the project

- Contract: Full time
- Salary Range: Tec II B (26.066€ gross annual)

SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be pass. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will start the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. A profile questionnaire as well as a technical exercise may be required during the process.
