Joan Tallada is a global health consultant, analyst and educator.

  1. As an independent consultant, he concentrates on supporting countries to strengthen their health system responses to HIV, TB and malaria, in particular through program evaluation, sustainability strategies and investment cases, with a special focus since 2020 on the impact of COVID-19.
  2. As an analyst, he advises community groups and international organizations on political and financial sustainability of their health programmes. He regularly works with multilateral organizations such as The Global Fund, the Pan American Health Organization and UNAIDS, and with national governments and NGOs in Latin America and the Caribbean, Middle-East and North Africa, Sub-Sahara Africa and South-East Asia. 
  3. As an educator, he lectures about Global Health Governance, Policy and Financing to postgraduate students, in particular those enrolled in ISGlobal Masters programmes.

Joan Tallada holds a Licentiate degree in Political Science and Sociology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and a Master in Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics from Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), Barcelona.
