Our Team

Maria Subirana first joined ISGlobal in 2019 as part of the iMAP study, where she contributed to the preparation of participant recruitment materials. She rejoined the iMAP project in 2024, assisting with data collection from participants.

In 2020, she began working as a research technician with the BiSC project, where she participated in fieldwork activities. That same year, she also joined the COVID-19 Sentinels Schools Network of Catalonia team, playing a key role in carrying out environmental and structural assessments in schools.

She is currently the Severo Ochoa Programme Assistant, supporting the coordination of the Severo Ochoa Programme by organizing workshops and the ISGlobal Spring School in Global Health, overseeing the recruitment process, and preparing materials to communicate the program’s achievements.

She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Barcelona, Spain, in 2020. She later completed a Master's degree in Epidemiology, with a specialization in Environmental and Occupational Epidemiology, at Utrecht University, the Netherlands (2024).
