Delfina Boudou

Programme Manager Infecciones víricas y bacterianas en el mundo | Medio ambiente y salud a lo largo de la vida

Delfina is an economist with a Master’s in Public and Social Policy and over five years of experience in project and programme management. As Programme Manager of the Public Health Liver Group at ISGlobal, she supports and coordinates the team’s work in research translation, strategic advocacy, and coalition-building to advance global action on MASLD/MASH and viral hepatitis. Her focus is on improving health outcomes, promoting equity, and keeping people at the centre of care.

In her role, Delfina facilitates collaboration between researchers, policymakers, and partner institutions to keep projects moving smoothly from planning to implementation.

She has contributed to multi-country implementation efforts in EU-funded initiatives such as the META Trial and VH-COMSAVAC, and played a key role in stakeholder engagement for metabolic dysfunction advocacy—helping organise regional roundtables and strengthen links with policy audiences. She also supported the development of policy recommendations on viral hepatitis among migrant communities, which informed guidance on equity and linkage-to-care pathways. Most recently, she helped secure and manage external funding for strategic advocacy, leading to the planned United Nations General Assembly side-event on liver and metabolic health and the Global Metabolic Health Roundtable Series.

Guided by the conviction that public health programmes must be accessible, equitable, and responsive to community needs, Delfina is driven to translate research into policies and practices that improve prevention, diagnosis, and care. She aims to continue supporting initiatives that bring science, community perspectives, and policy closer together to promote better liver health and wellbeing for all.
