Research Technician Maternal, Child and Reproductive Health

Ghaith Benhsen is a Research Technician on Noma at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal). He brings together clinical experience as a dentist with advanced expertise in global health, focusing on neglected tropical diseases, oral health integration into primary care, and health systems strengthening in resource-limited settings.

He holds a Master of Global Health from the University of Barcelona (ISGlobal, 2024) and a Doctor in Dental Medicine from the Faculty of Dental Medicine of Monastir, Tunisia (2022). His career spans humanitarian experience, independent evaluations for major UN agencies (including WHO, UNHCR, and PAHO), contributions to global health policy initiatives such as the WHO Package of Essential NCD Interventions (PEN) Oral Health Module, science communication and research support on neglected tropical diseases.

Ghaith is deeply passionate about advocating for oral health on the international agenda. He is committed to bridging frontline clinical practice with evidence-based research, data-driven strategies, and scientific communication to advance equitable health outcomes and Universal Health Coverage.
