Claudia García-Vaz is a policy analyst, epidemiologist, and medical specialist in public health and preventive medicine, with a Master’s degree in Public Health (ENS-ISCIII). After doing her medical residency at La Paz University Hospital in Madrid, she is currently working as Policy Coordinator at ISGlobal. Her work focuses on leveraging the latest scientific evidence to inform and transform public policy. From a Health in All Policies perspective, she addresses critical challenges such as the global health governance and financing ecosystem, and health emergency preparedness and response, with a justice- and equity-driven approach that integrates the social determinants of health.

She is currently pursuing a PhD in Medicine and Translational Research at the University of Barcelona. Working within the Global Health Economics group, her research focuses on evaluating development assistance for health in the context of the global health financing crisis.
