Our Team

Carla Martin Perez holds a DPhil in Physiology, Anatomy, and Genetics from the University of Oxford, where she developed a novel modular technology for extracellular vesicle (EV)-mediated delivery. She also completed an MRes in Biosciences at UCL, and holds a BSc in Biotechnology.

Since December 2022, she has been working as a Postdoctoral Data Scientist in the Malaria Immunology Group at ISGlobal, under the supervision of Prof. Carlota Dobaño and Dr. Gemma Moncunill. Her current responsibilities include the analysis of high-dimensional immunological, clinical, and epidemiological datasets using machine learning and statistical modeling. She manages multiple databases, contributes to manuscript development, and supports the group's scientific communication and dissemination efforts. Her work contributes to advancing the understanding of immune responses to infectious diseases and informing vaccine development strategies.
