Our Team

Sasha Khomenko is an urban health specialist with a PhD in Biomedicine from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Urban Planning, Environment and Health) and an MSc in Global Health from Maastricht University, working at the intersection of environment, climate, and health.

Her expertise focuses on urban and transport planning, public health, and urban interventions such as sustainable mobility, low-emission zones, urban greening, and nature-based solutions. Her work supports the development of healthy, sustainable, and climate-resilient cities by integrating health and sustainability considerations into policy and practice. She has collaborated on interdisciplinary research projects across Europe, addressing key challenges related to the urban environment, climate adaptation, and environmental health, with a strong emphasis on equity, resilience, and well-being in cities.
