ISGlobal will offer scholarships to two students in the Master of Global Health during the 2017-2018 academic year. Applicants must have a university degree or other advanced degree related to the life sciences or social sciences and an excellent academic record. They must also demonstrate a commitment to global health and associated values—such as equity in health, care for vulnerable populations and acceptance of diversity—and to the advancement of their communities.

Applicants must be nationals and residents of one of the 50 countries of sub-Saharan Africa: Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Réunion, Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Western Sahara, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Applications and required documentation must be received by 30 April; the review process will begin after this date. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to write a short essay and participate in an online interview with the selection committee. The two candidates selected to receive a scholarship will be announced by 31 May.
