How You Can Contribute

3. How You Can Contribute

There are a number of ways for companies and foundations to support the work of ISGlobal. Your contribution demonstrates your organisation’s commitment to supporting scientific research that brings about tangible health improvements and positive outcomes in Spain and the rest of the world

What you can fund

ISGlobal offers a wide range of opportunities for organisations to collaborate with our work by supporting projects led by our researchers, activities promoting young researchers, or training for professionals from developing countries. We also offer you the chance to become a strategic partner in our activities.

You can directly contribute to our work in the following ways:

a. Suport one of our initiatives.

b. Fund scholarships for young researchers: At ISGlobal, we are committed to hiring and training young researchers interested in global health, particularly in the areas of epidemiology, clinical research, parasitology and microbiology. A €25,000 contribution over the course of a two-year doctoral programme allows us to hire a pre-doctoral researcher to work at ISGlobal’s central office or on one of the projects we undertake together with research centres located in medium- and low-income countries.

c. Fund scholarships for students in developing countries who wish to study for a master’s degree: For over 30 years ISGlobal has prioritised knowledge transfer as a key mechanism for achieving global health objectives. In collaboration with the University of Barcelona and Pompeu Fabra University, we offer several master’s degree programmes, including the Master of Global Health, the Master in Public Health and the Master of Clinical Research. Students from more than a dozen countries—including many from Latin America—have taken part in these programmes. Interest is particularly strong among African students, many of whom cannot afford the expenses associated with undertaking such a programme. Scholarships for students from resource-poor countries are a good way for you to help train competent health professionals and researchers and improve access to decent health care all over the world. A contribution of €10,000 allows a student from a low-income country to pursue a master’s degree in Barcelona.
