Urban paradises, documentary on green spaces

On 19th April 2013, the spanish national television broadcast a documentory on green spaces and human health. Mark Nieuwenhuijsen, coordinator of the European PHENOTYPE project, participated in the production of 'Urban Paradises' as part of the long running RTVE series 'El escarabajo verde'. Over the course of several months, the programme focusses on Vallparadis, an urban park in the town of Terrassa, near Barcelona.

The series found itself passing through gardens and along walkways, talking with visitors and sharing park benches with experts in green space related topics. Through this, it has opened our eyes to the benefits of 'green islands' to citizens, and some of the contradictions of our 'Urban Paradises'."
