Today we celebrate the World Environment Day

Today is the World Environment Day, a day that used to raise awareness about the global environment and promote the political attention and action. The main objectives are to give importance to environmental issues, to motivate people to become active agents of sustainable development, promote the role of communities in changing attitudes towards environmental issues and promote cooperation.

For this reason, CREAL has organized an special school visit that have been registered in the United Nations Environment Programme: http://www.unep.org/wed/.

-The Department of Planning and Sustainability from Generalitat of Catalonia organizes the presentation ceremony of the Environment and Green Schools Awards 2012. The event will take place today at 18.30 am at the Cartographic Institute of Catalonia.

- The Gas Natural Foundation has organized the conference "The urban pollution: where are we?" given by Xavier Querol, professor of the Research Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA). - The Association of Environmentalists from Catalonia (COAMB) invites you to an event which will be presented the new Board of the College and several new projects. Besides this they’ll talk about the recent legislation regarding the environment. The event will take place at 19 pm in the College of Journalists (Catalonia Ramblas, 10, principal).
