CRESIB Publishes Its Scientific Report for 2012

ISGlobal's research centre, CRESIB, published 174 articles, with an average impact factor of 4.7, in 2012

19.06.2013

ISGlobal's research centre, CRESIB (Barcelona Centre for International Health Research) has published its latest annual report highlighting its activities in 2012. The report can be consulted online or downloaded here.

The report takes stock of the progress made during the year and summarises the highlights of the activities in each of the centre's research programmes and areas. CRESIB published 174 scientific articles in 2012, 116 of which were in  top-quartile journals. The total impact factor was 816, which corresponds to an average factor of 4.7 per article. With these figures, CRESIB maintained its high level of scientific production, despite the deep economic crisis.

As 2012 drew to a close, CRESIB was immersed in preparations for the signing of the SUMA agreement, which in early 2013 resulted in the creation of the ISGlobal alliance, an agreement by which CRESIB and the Barcelona-based Centre for Research in Environmental Epidemiology, CREAL, became affiliated research partners of ISGlobal. The alliance is expected to lead to a merger between the three centres within a period of two years.
