CREAL, university research institute ascribed to UPF

The affiliation of CREAL as a university research institute at the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) was formally accepted by the Government (DOGC, 22 April 2013). This official affiliation will help CREAL and UPF to expand the teaching activities in the area of environmental health.

On April 22th the Official Journal of the Government of Catalonia published the ORDER ECO/59/2013, on April 8th, authorizing the assignment of the Centre for Research in Environmental Epidemiology (CREAL) as a university research institute at the University Pompeu Fabra (UPF).

UPF and CREAL had signed a specific agreement to collaborate on June 26th, 2012, for the assignment of the center as a university research institute to develop activities related to research, training, teaching and knowledge transfer.

The CREAL aims to promote scientific research and higher education, in the areas of health sciences and life, public health and biomedicine and in particular in the fields of epidemiology and environmental health.
