CREAL participates in the Open Day 2011

On Saturday October 1st the Center for Research in Environmental Epidemiology (CREAL) participated in visits during the Open Day at the Biomedical Research Park of Barcelona (PRBB). The visits through the building, which were a success in being exhausted in a few hours, had some stops or "stations" in various units and research centres. One of them at CREAL.

During the visit to our centre, visitors were able to see what the research carried out at our center and have information on some of the projects we undertake. The researchers David Rojas and Mariona Pinart, the research technician Jaume Matamala and the administrative assistant Mari Carmen Garcia assisted in the dissemination of our work to all of those who came to our facility.

In addition, during the day researchers and technicians of the BREATH project conducted tests of neurodevelopment in children between 7 and 12 years.

The audience was really interested in this research the aim of which is to promote and develope advanced epidemiological research into the environmental factors that affect human health and, therefore, public health. Probably for this reason, we recruit many volunteers to participate in our research projects.
