CREAL holds the Scientific Retreat 2013

Yesterday the Centre for Research in Environmental Epidemiology (CREAL) held on its Annual Retreat. The meeting was held at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB) and will involved all CREAL staff.

The aim of the retreat is that all the centre gets informed of the almost 60 current CREAL research projects, their current state and the most important results of the past year and future plans.

According to the director of the centre, Dr. Josep M. Antó, the balance of the year, despite the economic crisis, is very positive because CREAL researchers have worked hard to maintain the level of scientific excellence.

In addition, Dr. Antó remarked the process of alliance with CRESIB and ISGlobal focused on creating a world-class institution for research, education and innovation in Global Health.

Throughout the day researchers presented the projects of the six CREAL programs: Cancer, Air Pollution, Water Pollution, Child Health, Respiratory and Radiation.
