Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)-based metabolomic analysis of approximately 1,000 urine samples of already ongoing research projects (genome wide case control study and a children cohort in Nicaragua, and an occupational cohort in Spain, LeRAgs) will be performed focusing on the identification of metabolites of endogenous and exogenous compounds.

This is a pioneer pilot project to explore metabolomic analysis related to MeN/CKDu. The project includes researchers at Boston University, ISGlobal and CIC-Biogune.
