Florence Gignac holds a bachelor degree in Geography, Urban Planning and Environmental Sciences from McGill University (Canada) (awarded the designation of Dean's Honour List), a post-graduated specialized diploma in International Environmental Health from the School of Public Health of University of Montreal (Canada) and a Master’s degree in Global Health from ISGlobal and the University of Barcelona (Spain). She also has a background in International Development Project Management. During her master’s thesis, she worked in the Infancia y Medio Ambiente (INMA) project under the supervision of Dr. Jordi Julvez and Dr. Dora Romaguera. Florence has experience working in Cuba (ARO Cooperation InterNational), Benin (Fondation Paul Gérin-Lajoie) and Barcelona (WHO Health System Strengthening). Currently, she is a PhD fellow on Citizen Science Project on Air pollution, Urban Environment and Health (CitieS-Health) at ISGlobal, funded by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 programme. Additionally, she is collaborating with the interventional study WALNUTS.
