Marc Bañuls earned a degree in biotechnology. He then completed an MSc in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics, writing his Master's thesis on identifying SNPs in a specific strawberry species in Valencia using various Python libraries and scripts.

Since 2021, he has worked at ISGlobal as a data manager and biostatistician on the Environment and Health over the Lifecourse research programme with Manolis's team. He currently works as a data manager in the biostatistics and data management unit (UBIOESGD). This role has enabled him to develop and apply his Data Science skills, particularly with the REDCap and OpenClinica data collection tools, as well as the Python and R programming languages.

Marc has been involved in several recent research projects, including CONTENT, Multiply, PreFIT and the ISGlobal Data Repository with Dataverse. He has also provided data management support to other projects.
