Clinical Research Officer

David García is a Clinical Research Professional with a background in nursing and clinical care, currently focused on global health research project management and multicenter study coordination. At ISGlobal, he supports scientific studies by coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing key study documentation (protocols, CRFs, ICFs), contributing to ethics submissions, data management, pharmacovigilance projects, and providing site support. He collaborates closely with investigators, CRAs, and international partners, ensuring compliance with ICH-GCP E6 (R3) standards.

He began his career as a nurse in internal medicine and international health units at Hospital Clínic and Hospital Vall d’Hebron, gaining valuable hands-on clinical experience that now informs his work in clinical research operations. He has also participated in international cooperation projects, including an internship at Hospital Nossa Senhora da Paz in Cubal, Angola, working in the tuberculosis unit.

David holds a Master’s degree in Global Health, with a qualitative thesis on yellow fever vaccination patterns conducted at Hospital Clínic. He is currently complementing his profile with studies in anthropology, bringing a multidimensional and culturally informed perspective to the global health research projects he supports.
