Sarah Warkentin

Postdoctoral Fellow Infancia y medio ambiente

Sarah Warkentin is a Nutritionist, specialist in Health, Nutrition and Child Nutrition, has a Masters and PhD in Sciences by the Department of Pediatrics from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP), São Paulo, Brazil.

She worked as a university professor at Universidade Paulista (UNIP) in the Nutrition and Nursing Bachelor courses, besides supervising curricular internships, from 2012 to 2018. From 2019-2021, she worked at the Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto (ISPUP) as a post-doctorate researcher and became a member of the Laboratory for Integrative and Translational Research in Population Health (ITR), in the Laboratory “Eating Behaviors and Childhood Obesity”.

Her current research interests are related to the investigation of enviornmental determinants of childhood obesity, eating behaviors, assessment of food consumption and its impact of health.
