Sara Arias Lázaro

Global Development Coordinator

Sara Arias Lázaro is a pharmacist with a special interest in global health and has been working at ISGlobal since 2020, where she is currently the Global Development Coordinator, as part of the Translation and Societal Impact Area.

Since she started working at ISGlobal, she has been the Country Coordinator for Morocco, leading the implementation of the different projects mainly based in Rabat, such as the Mediterranean Health Observatory in collaboration with the Moroccan Ministry of Health, the research studies on infectious diseases at the Ibn Sina Hospital and the different projects of the ISGlobal Migrant Health Research Group in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration, the National School of Public Health and the Mohammed VI Centre for Research and Innovation.

She has also worked at the CISM (Centro de Investigação em Saúde de Manhiça) in Mozambique, supporting the pharmacy team and participating in the implementation of clinical trials of new vaccines and antimalarial drugs.
