Our Team

Beatriz Fiestas holds degrees in Humanities and Journalism from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, as well as an MA in International Affairs from The New School University. She currently serves as the Communications Coordinator at ISGlobal, where she manages institutional strategy and communications for the Infectious Diseases area. In this role, she focuses on translating scientific research into clear, strategic narratives that support decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and real-world impact.

Her early career included media work for communication agencies and cultural events, alongside international development project work in Peru with Fundación Codespa. Following these experiences, she moved to New York as a Fulbright Scholar to specialize in governance and development. She later served as a journalist for the Vicente Ferrer Foundation’s 2010 Nobel Peace Prize candidacy and led communications for the reopening of El Molino Theater. Since joining ISGlobal in 2012, she has focused on bridging the gap between scientific research and society through media relations and corporate strategy.
