The Catalan health system is a universal system, where the Health Department develops the policies and planning of health and the Catalan Health Service (CatSalut) has the mission to ensure that public services effectively reach and coverage for the population, through different health care providers, including the Institut Català de la Salut (ICS) which is the largest.

The 3rd of December, the ISGlobal Director Antoni Plasència will invite Josep Maria Argimon, the ICS Director, to give a comprehensive introduction about the Catalan health system, including its functions, actors and challenges.
