This course addresses key nutritional challenges and approaches to the improvement of nutritional status that are implemented at the household, community, national and international levels

Undernutrition and food security influence the health, survival and developmental capacity of populations. This course addresses key nutritional challenges and approaches to the improvement of nutritional status that are implemented at the household, community, national and international levels. We will explore the degree to which malnutrition can be prevented or reduced through targeted public and private sector interventions in low and middle income countries as well as interventions targeted at vulnerable populations within high income countries.

Requirements

Candidates should have a demonstrated interest in global health and/or nutrition and food security.

Students should have an advanced level of English.

  • Active participation in class sessions, debate and discussions
