The aim of this workshop was to develop the necessary knowledge and skills to monitor and evaluate their own capacity strengthening activities using a results chain approach. 

There were two principal objectives:

• Apply relevant terminology and concepts to describe, discuss and analyse M&E frameworks and findings.
• Generate and implement M&E frameworks for research capacity building activities. 

Candidates were selected through a nomination process.
