Selena Alonso Galindo
Selena Alonso is PhD student on Carlota Dobaño’s team. She is currently working on the impact of maternal and environmental factors, including in utero exposition to HIV and malaria, in the immunological response of infants to vaccines and infections.
She obtained the degree in Microbiology at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2014. In 2015, I obtained a MSc in Tropical Parasitic Diseases at Universitat de València and conducted my research project on the immunomodulatory role of Echinostoma caproni exosomes in mice under the supervision of Dr. Antonio Marcilla and Dr. Maria Trelis.
