Joana Porcel-Carbonell is PhD in Neuropsychology, University of Barcelona; Clinical Psychologist. She has worked as a clinical neuropsychologist at the Traumatic Brain Injured Association providing support and counseling to families and brain injured patients (1996-2002), and at the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital of Barcelona, as a psychologist and researcher at the Multiple Sclerosis Unit (1996-2006).
From 2006 onwards, she works on research management. From 2006 to 2009 at the private sector related with pharma research, mainly clinical trials, and since 2009 at the Center for Research in Environmental Epidemiology (CREAL), which was integrated with the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) in July 2016. At ISGlobal, she coordinates the Projects Unit.
