COMBACTE

Combatiendo la Resistencia Bacteriana en Europa

La idea del proyecto COMBACTE es desarrollar una amplia red europea de centros de investigación clínica plenamente capaces y que cumplan con las Buenas Prácticas Clínicas (BPC) para ejecutar ensayos clínicos que permitan el registro de nuevos agentes destinados al tratamiento de pacientes con infecciones bacterianas resistentes. El crecimiento y la actividad de la red se sostendrán con datos de vigilancia microbiológica sólidos y datos de epidemiología clínica. Con el fin de reducir los plazos o costes de desarrollo clínico, se diseñarán nuevos ensayos clínicos en base al análisis de datos clínicos y no clínicos disponibles públicamente o compartidos a través de consorcios. Además de ejecutar una primera serie de ensayos clínicos, se investigarán los biomarcadores relacionados con los pacientes y con los patógenos así como el impacto de los diagnósticos rápidos en la logística y en la toma de decisiones.
