The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. What We Are Looking for
ISGlobal is seeking a postdoctoral researcher who is interested in getting involved in activities of the EU-funded project proGIreg (https://progireg.eu/). The overall project goal is to implement and scale up nature-based solutions (NBSs) in post-industrial districts in different cities across Europe and beyond and to monitor and evaluate their environmental, social, economic, and health and wellbeing benefits. The postdoctoral researcher will be involved in evaluating the health and wellbeing effects of the NBSs. This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 776528.
- Environmental Health
The applicant will work with the proGIreg consortium to help with 1) curating, managing and analysing the collected data, and 2) dissemination of the findings. The applicant will attend relevant project meetings and activities. The applicant will work closely with the other project proGIreg researchers, data managers, and fieldwork responsibles to clean and process the data and conduct the analyses, including health impact assessment. The applicant, together with another proGIreg postdoctoral researcher at ISGlobal, will organize stakeholder meetings, prepare and submit scientific manuscripts, evaluation reports, and evaluation briefs for project partners and might participate in conferences and give occasional presentations regarding the project and the impact of NBS interventions on health.

Training and experience /Qualifications
PhD in public health, environmental epidemiology, environmental psychology or related field.
Previous experience with studying the health effects of exposure to greenspace and also working on health impact assessment is an asset.
Conducting statistical analyses in the context of epidemiological studies. Good interpersonal, communication, presentation, and academic writing skills and ability to work independently.

Proficiency in writing and communicating in English.

The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be pass. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
