A sustainable healthy diet is a dietary pattern with low environmental impact, economically fair and affordable, as well as culturally acceptable, which contributes to food and nutrition security, as well as to a healthy life for present and future generations. That is, a healthy diet, respectful of the environment, as well as fair to all people.

The reality is that the dietary patterns we follow nowadays in developed countries are neither healthy nor sustainable. Several entities, including the World Health Organization (WHO), are calling for a global dietary change in favor of these diets. The fact is that this change is fundamental to achieve many of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as the fight against climate change, among others. However, dietary changes are not easy to achieve.

Through the project “Alimentación S2: por una dieta saludable y sostenible” (English: "S2 eating: for a healthy and sustainable diet"), we want to know if a behavior change intervention implemented through digital technologies (eHealth) could be effective in promoting a change in people’s eating behavior towards healthier and more sustainable choices. To achieve this, we will conduct a one-year pilot study, in which participants will receive information through an app to educate and motivate them, with the aim of adopting healthier and more sustainable eating behaviors.

More details about the project “Alimentación S2: por una dieta saludable y sostenible” could be found on the following link. If you are interested in participating, do not hesitate to fill in this questionnaire.
