Research Assistant Viral and Bacterial Infections

Graduated in Nursing and graduated in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Barcelona.

She works in the HIV Unit of the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona performing an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) role with the aim of coordinating the care that each person needs at a vital moment and facilitating the continuum of care throughout the health care process. Achieve that all areas and health professionals involved (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, social workers) both in the hospital environment and in Primary Care, Public Health and community health agents, work in a coordinated and fluid way, sharing the challenge of reducing new infections and improve the quality of life of people with HIV (PLHIV).

Concerning this line of work, she participates as a nurse in the HBV-COMSAVA project with the objective of screening West African migrants living in Barcelona for hepatitis B and whenever it is necessary to link and facilitate the continuum of care in the Health System.
